On the occasion of International Museum day, Department of Museology, National Museum Institute conducted a Webinar on Museology as a Profession: Challenges and Prospects. Museologists from various universities of India participated in the webinar.
This webinar deliberated upon the scope of Museology discipline in the professional field. The interactive session focused on understanding the interdependency of Museology and Museum Practice. The panel also discussed the challenges being faced by the professionals. In the webinar, issues related to various aspects such as pedagogy, policy, training and placement in Museums and Museology field were also discussed particularly in the Indian context.
