Educational Tour to Karnataka
The Department of History of Art and Conservation, National Museum Institute, organized a seven-day educational tour to Karnataka for the 4th semester M.A. students from 13th to 19th January 2019. The students covered the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Hampi, Aihole, badami, Pattadakal and Bijapur.
The tour aimed to give students a first hand experience to understand and appreciate the architecture and art from the period of Chalukya and Vijayanagar Empire in Karnataka. It also helped the students to learn about the architecture, culture and history of the region. |
