An interactive programme with Dr. Teresa Indjein, Austrian Vice Minister for Foreign Cultural Policy was organized on November 24, 2016 in relation to the ongoing collaboration between the Institute and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The Austrian Vice Minister discussed with the Vice Chancellor and faculty members about the collaborative educational and research programmes and activities between the two institutions and the participants of previous summer schools shared their experiences.

A diploma programme in Heritage Management and Conservation was started at Deccan College Pune in collaboration with the Institute. Dr. Satish Pandey from the Department of Conservation delivered inaugural lectures on October 14, 2016 for the first batch of students of the programme.

Prof. Mark Pollard from the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art, University of Oxford delivered a special Lecture on ‘Flow of Ancient metals across Eurasia’ on April 4, 2016.
