The National Museum has a vast repertoire of artifacts starting from the Harappan period and covering varied areas like textiles, armory, maritime traditions, miniature paintings, bronzes, stone sculptures etc., therefore encompassing the entire gamut of Indian art up to the medieval period. Not only do the students regularly utilize the objects housed in these galleries, they also have access to the reserve collections of the National Museum for their study and research. The students of the Institute have access to the public library of the National Museum that houses a large gamut of books on History, Art History and many other topics. |
