Advertisement for The filling up of temporary posts of Assistants Professor (HOA)


Applications on plain paper are invited within 30 days from the date of publishing of this advertisement from eligible candidates for a post of Assistant Professor (History of Art) in National Museum Institute, New Delhi in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500 with allowances as admissible to equally placed Central Government employee, in leave vacancy on contract basis initially for a period of 1 year. The candidate should possess

Essential Qualifications:-

(a)    Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of “B” in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D E & F at the Master’s degree level in History of Art/History/Anthropology/ Archaeology  from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University

(b)   Should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

Desirable:

(i)                  Ph.D. degree holders may be given weightage by the competent authority.

(ii)                Knowledge of either Russian, German, French, Spanish, Italian and one regional Indian Language

Age:- Not to exceed 40 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

General:
The competent authority reserves the right to relax any of the above conditions in consonance with UGC guidelines in this behalf. In-service candidates may apply through proper channel. The candidates are required to give full details of their name, date of birth, qualifications, whether belonging to SC/ST/OBC, past experience, particulars of posts held previously, etc. Incomplete applications or not received through proper channel or received late will not be entertained.
