The ‘Museum Accessibility and Visitor Studies’: This research projects is a comprehensive surveys of three most important museums of India, namely, the National Museum, the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Handicrafts and Textile Museum. In each museum three exercises were conducted that included Self Assessment, Visitor Questionnaire and Track Survey with the aim to assess the accessibility (both physical and intellectual) for their target audience. It is intended to bringing out a manual, consistituting the broad and minimum guidelines for an all-inclusive and visitor friendly museum.
