‘Gandhi for All’- 9th Workshop in the series - Workshop in the State of Madhya Pradesh and for the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dabra Gwalior : 16th August 2019

On the 16 the of August 2019 the 9th in the series of the Gandhi for All workshop was organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation. As per the guiding principle of the workshop series - which is to reach out to different regions and target audiences, this particular workshop was conducted in the State of Madhya Pradesh and was organized for the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya , Dabra Gwalior.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalay nurtures some of the best students from rural India and empowers them with quality education. The unique feature of this particular workshop was to cater to this particular group of students so as the cultural legacy and teachings of Gandhiji could find resonance in the holistic training they receive there, and for them to understand and serve their societies better.

Gandhiji’s teachings on the importance of education, self-reliance and village development were particularly relevant for this workshop. Moreover, as the workshop-series is aimed towards action-oriented research, this particular workshop was significant towards preparation of a model about the methods and tools of making museums meaningful for these talented students from rural areas.

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Juhi Sadiya, Assistant Professor of the Department, Ms. Huma Khan, Mr. Anand Hari and Mr. Sushant Bharti, Research Assistants of the department. A total number of 41 Students participated in the workshop
