YUVA SAATHI

National Museum announces the launch of a new Programme –Yuva Saathi, YoungVisitor Programme,  dedicated to school children. Yuva Saathi is a pioneering effort   aimed at engaging young minds in a dialogue with the objects of National Museum with the help of Young Volunteer guides, Yuva Saathi.

Yuva Saathis are graduate students from colleges of Delhi trained specifically to guide children in the National Museum. It is for the first time that such a programme exclusively for children is being launched in an Indian museum. The Volunteers will guide school groups on a special trail through the  museum, combining its masterpieces and unusual objects, for fun filled and informative experience for all young visitors. Volunteers will also assist teachers of schools in guiding students on designated trails.

NATIONAL MUSEUM
National Museum houses a rich collection of Indian and foreign origin. The collection consists of varied art objects such as sculptures, paintings, coins, textiles, decorative arts, arms and armour and represents tribal life. These objects have direct and representational linkages with the school curriculum.

MUSEUM TRAIL

An informative trail covering masterpieces of National Museum has been designed for young children. The trail has stops in the museum that children will benefit from and enjoy.
